Turmeric Latte- The Drinkable Gold

Have you ever thought of taking a break from caffeine intake but finding it hard to do so. Well, there is a healthy substitute for that, there is something called Turmeric Latte. It’s a hot drink made with turmeric, a spice that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It might taste bitter at first, but you’ll get used to it. The drink will also help you lose weight by suppressing your appetite, speeding up your metabolism, and boosting your production of satiety hormones.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp ground turmeric
  • 2 tbsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp raw honey/maple syrup
  • 350 ml milk(any kind of milk)
  • A pinch of black pepper

Recipe:

  • Add turmeric, ginger and black pepper in a mixing bowl and mix well.
  • Now add the milk in a saucepan and mix the turmeric latte spice blend again. Bring the milk to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and honey/maple syrup to that.
  • Let the turmeric latte steep in the milk for 2 minutes.
  • Pour in a cup and sprinkle some cinnamon and serve.
