Airbnb hosts and users, reduce dustmite risk and stay hygienic!

Airbnb has revolutionized the hotel/motel industry, but we feel there are just a few more things they could do to improve their business.

So given you the user are the customers and the community “franchise” owners of this business,  we’d thought we’d bring the attention to you.

So what’s the problem?
Dustmites and general bed hygiene! We wrote an article about this a while back, which sparked interest in our readers. So we won’t rehash all that again,  you can read it here.

Now we aren’t saying that everyone is messy,  but there is a way that any Airbnb customer or host can reduce this risk. Just start asking that a Zaanta 100% Natural Latex Mattress or Topper Pad be used. Worst case,  take your own topper pad!

Remember a dust mite free mattress doesn’t eliminate dust mites from the rest of your room,  such as your curtains, carpet, etc.. You need to keep your home clean for that. But then again,  you don’t spend 8-10 hrs a day with your face against the carpet. At least we hope not!

Even the big players often get it wrong! And when they do, people don’t stay quiet:

When consumers encounter bed bugs in a hotel room, whether it’s Motel 6 or the Hilton, they don’t keep quiet about it. They spread the word on review sites like ConsumerAffairs – and may even report it on special sites like BedBugRegistry.com.
